If you want to delete a Contact Person from Raynet, you have two options. You can either Delete or Invalidate it. Deletion is permanent. In contrast, invalidation ensures that the Contact Person will not appear in list views, but will still be retained in Raynet, and you can restore it at any time.
Deletion
You can find this function on the detail card of the Client by clicking on the three dots » Delete.
You can delete a Contact Person only if it has an empty history of Linked Records . This means that there are no activities (Tasks, Meetings...) or other records, such as business records (Deals, Offers, etc.) associated with it.
If there are any links, the system will not allow you to delete it, and you will need to remove these links first.
If, for example, a Deal remains in the linked records, you can access the detail card of the Deal by clicking from the Timeline of the Contact Person. In the Participants (or in the blue window What it concerns) you need to remove the Contact Person.
Invalidation
If you invalidate a Contact Person, it will no longer appear in list views. However, the invalidated Contact Person will still remain in Raynet, and you can restore its validity at any time, unlike deletion.
Invalidation also works for Contact Persons that have linked activities or other records in the Timeline, making it quicker and easier than deletion. You can perform the invalidation on the detail card of the Contact Person by clicking on the three dots » Invalidate.
Bulk invalidation of Contact Persons
Invalidation can also be done in bulk. Once you open the list of Contact Persons, you need to check the individuals you want to invalidate. You do this using the checkbox in the list view. After checking the selected Contact Persons, green buttons will appear above the list. Click the button Invalidate » Perform invalidation.
To view invalidated Contact Persons in the list view, you first need to pin the filter Validity. Click the button with the icon pencil » Add another filter » Validity. Then click this button and select whether you want to display only invalid Contact Persons or all Contact Persons including invalidated ones. You can distinguish invalid records from other records by their gray background.
Renew validity
To restore the validity of a record, simply select the Contact Persons in the list and click the button Renew validity.
Another option is to open a Contact Person from the list of invalidated Contact Persons and then click the button the three dots » Renew validity on its detail page.
