Anonymization of a Contact person is designed to permanently remove personal data from the CRM without having to delete the entire record. This lets you retain activity history, links to deals, and other related data in the system, while also ensuring that it will no longer be possible to identify a specific person. This tool is available only if you have the GDPR module activated in the system settings.
Why use anonymization?
Under GDPR, a Contact person has the right to request deletion or anonymization of their personal data. Anonymization is a safe way to permanently remove this data from your records without having to delete the entire record in the system.
In Raynet, anonymization happens irreversibly—personal data is overwritten with anonymized values, so the original information cannot be restored. A typical example is replacing a phone number with a universal value, such as “999 999 999”.
How to perform anonymization
You can anonymize data for a Contact person individually or in bulk.
To do it individually, on the Contact person detail page click the three-dot menu » GDPR module » Data anonymization.
Anonymized record then looks like this:
You can perform mass anonymization in the Contact persons list view. Here, you need to use the checkboxes to select the Contact persons you want to anonymize. Green buttons will appear above the list view. Click Edit » Anonymize records (GDPR).
