When you work with dozens of clients, business cases, and lists throughout the day, the tab bar can quickly fill up, and finding the right one can take more time than it should. Therefore, Raynet allows you to color-code tabs, pin the most important ones to the beginning of the bar, and restore your work exactly where you left off after refreshing the page or logging in.
All settings are personal – they apply only to your account and your device and do not affect your colleagues. You do not need any special permissions for it, and it is not tied to an administrator role.

How the tab bar is organized
The tab bar is a horizontal strip at the top of Raynet. The order of the tabs is always the same:
Main Dashboard – remains completely on the left and cannot be closed or pinned.
Pinned tabs – immediately after the Main Dashboard.
Other tabs – including entire blocks (groups) of grouped tabs.
You can rearrange the order of tabs and entire groups by dragging and dropping. When the tabs do not fit in the bar, arrows for scrolling will appear on the sides.
Tab groups
A group is a color-coded block of tabs that belong together – for example, everything related to one customer or one offer. A group has a colored label with a name in front of its tabs, and the tabs themselves receive a color accent, making them easily distinguishable at a glance in the bar.
How to create a group
Right-click on the tab from which you want to create the group.
Select New Group...
In the New Tab Group dialog, fill in the Group Name and select a color from the offered palette.
Confirm by clicking Create.
If you want to add everything you have open to the group at once, click the three dots icon at the end of the bar and select the option Create group from open tabs. Only regular open tabs will be added to the group – pinned tabs, the Main Dashboard, and tabs that are already in a group will not be included.
Pinned tabs
Pinning is intended for what you have open all the time – calendar, client list, or the customer you are currently focusing on.
You pin a tab by right-clicking on it and selecting Pin Tab, and you remove it by selecting Unpin Tab. You can pin:
items from the main menu (client lists, people, leads, business cases, offers, orders, projects, products, and pricing, calendar, activities, documents, analyses, mail, invoices),
specific records opened in detail (client card, person, business case, etc.).
What is good to know:
You can pin up to 3 tabs. Once the limit is reached, the option in the menu becomes inactive.
A pinned tab does not have a close button, so you cannot accidentally close it – even with bulk options like Close All Tabs.
A pinned tab remains open even after refreshing the page, regardless of session recovery settings.
Pinning and groups mutually exclude each other. For a tab in a group, the pinning option is inactive with the explanation “The tab cannot be pinned because it is in a group.”; for a pinned tab, the creation of a group is inactive with the text “A pinned tab cannot be added to a group.”
-
The Main Dashboard cannot be pinned – it is always first in the bar.
Menu in the tab bar
The three dots icon at the end of the bar opens an overview of everything you have open:
Close All Tabs – closes the regular open tabs. Pinned tabs, tabs in groups, and the Main Dashboard will remain.
Create group from open tabs
Recently Closed Tabs – will be displayed only if you have the feature enabled in settings.
List of Open Tabs under the heading Select a Tab, divided by groups. A group without a filled name will appear in the list as an Untitled Group.
-
Once you have more than 5 tabs open, a search field Search Tabs will appear in the menu. You can navigate through the found items using the arrows and select them with the Enter key.
Tab settings and session recovery
Click on your name » My Profile and in the Workspace section, open Tab Settings. The settings are personal only for your own profile.
You will find three independent options, all of which are enabled by default:
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Restore on CRM Reload | After refreshing the page (F5), the tabs you were working with will reopen, including their order and the active tab. |
| Remember Last Closed Tabs | Raynet remembers up to 5 recently closed tabs so you can restore them. |
| Remember Open Tabs | The tabs you had open at logout will reopen upon your next login. |
Confirm changes by clicking Save.
Two things worth mentioning:
Tabs in groups always restore. Even with the restore on reload turned off, you will find your groups with their tabs after F5. The disabled restore applies to other, non-grouped, and unpinned tabs.
Disabling the “Remember Last Closed Tabs” option will erase the saved list. Once re-enabled, it will start filling up again from scratch.
You can find the list of recently closed tabs at the end of the bar by clicking the three dots icon. Clicking on an item will reopen the tab in the same view. It saves up to 5 items, and the Main Dashboard is not counted among them.
Limitations you may encounter
At most 30 tabs can be open at once. When trying to open more, a window Oops, too many tabs will appear with the message “You have too many tabs open. No more tabs can be opened.” and options I will close some myself and Close all now.
You can pin up to 3 tabs, and the list of recently closed holds 5 items.
The Main Dashboard cannot be closed, pinned, or placed in a group.
One tab can belong to only one group, and groups cannot be nested.
Bulk options Close All Tabs, Close Other Tabs, and Close Tabs to the Right do not affect pinned and grouped tabs. Close tabs in a group using the option Close Tabs in Group on the group label.
Settings and groups are saved to your user account. When you have Raynet open in multiple windows or browsers at once, the last saved settings apply.
When tabs do not behave as expected
After refreshing the page, the tabs did not open. Check in Tab Settings the option Restore on CRM Reload. With the option turned off, only pinned and grouped tabs will return.
After logging in, tabs from before are missing. The recovery after logout is controlled by a separate option Remember Open Tabs. The reload recovery on login is not sufficient.
A tab cannot be closed and Raynet reports “The tab cannot be closed. You need to save the changes made first.” or “Tabs cannot be closed. You need to save the changes made first.” – you have an ongoing edit in the tab. Save the changes or discard them, and close it again.
The pinning option is greyed out. Either you already have 3 pinned tabs, or the tab is in a group. First, remove it from the group using the option Remove from Group.
The list of recently closed is empty. Either the feature is turned off, or you just turned it on – the list fills up only from the moment it is enabled.
The group has disappeared from the bar. A group without a single open tab is automatically canceled. It cannot be restored; you need to create it again.
