If you want to remove a Client from Raynet, you have two options. You can Delete it or Invalidate it. Deleting is permanent. Invalidating, on the other hand, ensures the Client will not appear in list views, but it will still be retained in Raynet and you can restore it at any time.
Deleting
You can find this function on the Client detail page by clicking the three dots » Delete.
You can delete a Client only if it has no history of linked records. This means there are no Activities (Tasks, Meetings...) or other records on file for it, such as sales records (Deals, Quotes,...).
Otherwise, a message will appear saying the record can’t be deleted, and you’ll need to first remove the records that reference the Client.
So if, for example, a Deal remains in the linked records, you can click through from the Client’s records to the Deal detail page. There, go to three dots » Delete.
Another way to remove a Deal from the Client’s linked records is to reassign it to a different Client. On the Deal detail page, click three dots » Settings » Change client.
Invalidating
If you invalidate a Client, it will no longer appear in list views. However, the invalidated Client will remain in Raynet, and you can restore its validity at any time, unlike deleting.
You can also invalidate Clients that have links to other Activities or other records in Linked Records. Compared to deleting, this is much faster and easier. You can invalidate a Client on the Client detail page by clicking the three dots » Invalidate.
Invalidation can also be done in bulk. Once you’re in the Client list, select the Clients you want to invalidate using the checkbox in the list view. After selecting the Clients, green buttons will appear above the list. Click Invalidate » Confirm invalidation. Using the checkbox, you can also invalidate Contact Persons that are linked to Clients.
To display invalidated Clients in the list view, you first need to pin the Validity filter. Click the button with the pencil icon » Add another filter » Validity. Then click this filter and choose whether you want to show only invalid Clients or all Clients, including invalidated ones. Invalid records differ from others in that they are grayed out.
Restoring validity
To restore validity, just select the Clients in the list and click Restore validity.
Another option is to open a Client from the invalidated Client list, and then on its detail page click three dots » Restore validity.
