The Detailed card of an Activity contains a lot of important information and functions. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at it and explain how to work with the individual panels.
Basic layout of panels
On the detailed card of each Activity, you will find panels containing individual fields. These fields are interactive, and any changes you make are automatically saved.
Calendar
On the left side of the Detailed card, you’ll find the Calendar, which displays the scheduling of the Activity. Other Activities are shown in a lighter shade. You can move the Activity within the Calendar. If it’s just a matter of changing the time, you can simply grab it with your mouse and drag it to the desired time (Drag and Drop function). If you need to move the Activity to another day, switch to that day at the top and place the Activity there. The Activity will remain visible above the Calendar with a dashed border until you drop it on the desired day and time.
You can also view the Activity in the standard Calendar. You can switch to it directly from the small calendar window by clicking the expand button. In the full Calendar, the Activity will flash several times.
If multiple users are participating in the Activity, you will see the scheduled Activities of all these participants in the Calendar.
Main Panels
The top panel contains all the essential information about the Activity. At the very top, you can change its current type by clicking the arrow next to the Activity type. Below that, you can rename the Subject of the Activity and use the palette to change its Category or its color. We go into more detail about Categories in this article.
Clicking the green plus button reveals options:
Create follow-up activity
Create Deal
The three-dot button hides additional actions you can perform on the Activity. These are described in detail in this article.
In the center of the panel, you’ll find the status of the Activity and its scheduled time, which you can edit or delete by clicking on the date or time. These changes must be saved. If you are the Record owner, you can set a reminder for the Activity using the bell icon. More about this feature can be found in this article. On the right, you can mark the Activity as completed with the "Done" button or cancel it.
At the bottom of the panel, you can enter the location. You can either manually type it with address suggestions or use the buttons:
At our place
At their place
Enter GPS
Once the address is selected, you can easily switch to the map view where the location is displayed, or click the GPS button to edit the GPS coordinates.
Below the main window, there is a panel with several tabs. In the first tab, titled Basic information, you can enter information about the Activity, or use AI to generate or edit the text.
The second tab, titled Related activities, displays all Activities that are linked to this Activity. You can use the full-text search to find a specific Record, or filter Activities using preset filters. Related Activities can also be exported or viewed in a larger window.
You can freely rearrange the columns in the table or change their width. By clicking the pencil icon, you can add more columns.
The Notes tab works like any other Note throughout the CRM system. You can add multiple Notes here, distinguish them by color, and insert images or attachments. More details about the Note feature can be found in this article.
If you use Custom Fields, in Raynet, you will find them under the tab of the same name. By clicking the gear icon, you can select which fields you want to display for the Activity.
Clicking the Discussion button opens a dialog window where you can add users and comment on the Activity. Pressing the Enter key will post your message to the discussion. If you want to move to a new line, use the shortcut Shift + Enter. We describe the Discussion feature in more detail in this article.
Side Panels
The panels on the right display additional information.
The panel titled What it’s related to shows which Records the Activity is linked to. If the Activity isn’t linked to any Record, it’s referred to as Private. To add a link, click the pencil icon in the corner and select the Records you want to associate the Activity with.
In the next section, you can see the owner of the Activity and its participants. To change the owner, click the pencil icon; to edit or add participants, click the plus button.
The last two sections are used for additional information, such as Category, Priority, and Tags, and the final section is for uploading attachments.
