You can set the VAT rate for each Product individually by selecting from the preset rates. You define the VAT rates yourself, and one rate is always set as the default. Product prices are always displayed in the CRM without VAT.
Changing the VAT rate for a specific Product can be done by a user who has permission to edit the settings. You can learn how to set grant permission to users in this article.
Setting VAT rates
You define the VAT rates yourself in the dials settings. Click on your name » Settings » Settings records » in the Business section, select Product » Picklist » select VAT.
Now you just need to define the individual VAT rates in the drop-down box. Use the blue checkbox to select the default rate.
Changing the VAT rate for individual Products
You can change the VAT rate on the detail tab of the Product, in the VAT rate field.
You can also edit the VAT rate in the Classification field in the price lists. Just click on You can edit items here at the bottom of the dropdown.
VAT in Deals
In Deals (but also in Orders and Offers) you can change the VAT individually for specific Products, or using a Mass Operations for all Products included in the Deal.
You can change VAT individually via three dots » Edit » VAT rate.
Then set it in bulk using Mass Operations » Set VAT button
VAT in Bids and Orders exports
VAT only appears in Bids exports and Orders exports if you have set your own company to be VAT registered. Otherwise, only prices without VAT are shown in the exports.
To change the VAT payer data you need to go to Accounts in the list view to Own company and here on the Other data tab select whether or not you are VAT payer. You can find your own company in the Accounts list view by using the Relationship filter,which you can add by clicking the button with the pencil icon.
VAT in price lists
Similarly, you can change the VAT rate in Price lists. Here too, either individually or in mass.
You can change the VAT individually by clicking on the pencil icon VAT rate.
Then in mass via the Mass Operations button » Set VAT.
VAT in Import Template
You can also easily change the VAT rate using the import template. For more information on importing Products, see the article here. In the template you edit the VAT rate column.
