This action permanently anonymizes all personal information that you have stored for a Contact (by overwriting it). This applies to the name, address and all provided contact information.
Data anonymization is closely related to GDPR and is a feature of a Raynet add-on of the same name, which you can enable in Settings. Detailed information about this add-on and privacy issues can be found in a separate article here.
Why anonymize data?
The Contact whose personal data you store has the right to request anonymization of the data in compliance with GDPR. The anonymization must be irreversible and will result in a change of personal data and data replacement in Raynet. For example, the phone number of the Contact will be overwritten with the value "999 999 999" after anonymization.
How to anonymize
You can anonymize Contact data individually or in bulk.
You can do this individually on the Contact detailed card by clicking on the three dots » GDPR module » Anonymize data.
An anonymized record then looks like this:
You can perform mass anonymization in the Contact list view. Here you need to select the Contact you want to anonymize by using the checkbox. Green buttons will appear above the list view. Here you click on Edit » Anonymize records (GDPR).
