Thanks to the Required fields, you will no longer miss any important data in raynet. You can set up default fields and custom fields in the CRM as required.
If you create a new record with a required field (for example, Meeting) you will not be able to save it without filling in the required field. Also, you will be asked to fill in a required field in case of editing an existing record where a required field is not historically filled in.
Required field activation
To access the required field settings, you must be an Administrator.
Click on Your name » Settings.
Continue to the section Record Settings.
Choose the type of record where you want to add a required field, for example, Meeting.
After clicking on the given record, you will see an overview of custom fields and default fields. You can learn more about creating a custom field in a separate article HERE.
All you have to do in this list is turn on the selected required fields. Whether optional fields or default fields.
Then go back to record settings.
You will be asked to restart the application because of the Settings changes you made.
How required fields work
When creating a new record, all required fields appear in a dialog window. If you try to save the record without filling in a required field, raynet will notify you. Once completed, the record can be saved without any problems.
If you are editing an existing record created before you made any of the fields required, raynet notifies you again when you try to save it. You have to fill in all required fields to update and save the record.
Mass import and required fields
Required fields will be reflected in the mass import too (learn more about the mass import HERE). You recognize the required fields in the import template by the bold title in the column.
If you upload a template to raynet that does not have a required field filled in, a list of errors will be generated. You will find a list of lines with a specific error, for example, "Category - mandatory attribute". The template needs to be completed and reloaded to raynet.
Required fields and deals
In Deals, the required fields have one more specificity. You can choose a Stage of Deals from which the required field will be valid.
In Deal settings, you need to select Field Settings and turn on the field as required. In this field (for example, the "Deposit" field) also select so the Stage from which you want to fill in the field.
When moving a Deal on the Business board, the system will ask you to fill in the required field.
It works the same way in the detail of the Deal. When the Deal enters a state in which the required field needs to be filled in, the system will notify you again. After entering the required data, everything can be saved.
