You know it! Someone mistakenly registered a company twice and duplication is in the world. What now?! You can easily merge these records in the CRM.
You can find the function in the Client, Person and Lead details under the Actions> Merge with another client / person / lead button.
In the second step, select the record you want to merge (just start typing the first letters of the name or click on the double arrows at the end of the line, then select the record from the list). Confirm with the Merge button.
How does duplicate merging work?
- All data from record A is transferred to record B, followed by deleting record A.
- The complete History and some fields (which, you will find below in the article) from the A record are converted.
- An animation is displayed during the merge.
- It’s always possible to merge only the records of the same type, for example, Client -> Client, Person -> Person.
- The user must be allowed to delete records.
Which fields are converted from record A to record B when merging?
A field is always transferred from record A to record B only if it is not filled in record B.

- Addresses and contacts (always assigned as a new value in the drop-down list)
