With to the Relations between Accounts panel, you can connect Accounts to each other in various ways. This extension can be useful when you want to keep track of cooperating companies, parent and subsidiary companies, or even multiple branches of one company.
It can be enabled by an account administrator in Settings » Record Settings » Account.
You can find Relations between Accounts on the very firs tab called General settings. Enable the extension with the toggle button.
After enabling, you will see a new panel Relation to other Accounts on the Account detail. To create a relation, click the Relate to another Account button.
Select the relation type to other Account. You can set:
- parent company,
- subsidiary company,
- loose relation (e.g., partner or supplier).
In the next step, find the Account you want to create the relation to. Confirm your selection with Save.
On the Account detail, you will see all related companies. Clicking on a related Account will take you to the detail.
For the parent company, you will also find information about Closed-won deals in the group (value of won Deal of the parent company and subsidiaries) or about Open Deals in the group.
You can also track joint sales in the Account list view. Just take a look at the columns Closed-won in the group and Open Deals in the group.
If you don't see these columns, click on the pencil icon at the end of the row with the column names. This will pull up a selection of all items that can be added as columns.
