As part of the Mailchimp integration, you can export Accounts, Contacts, and Leads from Raynet. The contacts you want to transfer need to have the correct email address listed, otherwise they will not be transferred.
Exporting contacts
Before exporting, use the filter and select the records (in our case, Contacts) you want to transfer to Mailchimp. Click the Export button and a dropdown will appear where you select Export to Mailchimp. Up to 200 contacts can be transferred this way.
To export a large number of contacts to Mailchimp, click on the three dots on the right » Export to Mailchimp.
Before exporting the contacts, you need to create Groups and Group names in the Audience section in Mailchimp.
In the CRM system, select Lists, Groups, and Group names (choose whether the Group names should be created according to the tags you use in Raynet or if you want to create them manually. This will mean they will only appear in Mailchimp). You will then find the contacts in Mailchimp under this classification. Confirm everything with the Start export button.
After the export, the final recap will be displayed. It will show you how many contacts have been transferred.
You can transfer up to 2,500 contacts in one export. During the export itself, a duplicate check is performed based on the email addresses included in a specific List in Mailchimp. Existing contacts are only updated. Contacts that you have in Mailchimp as unsubscribed will also only be updated, but will remain classified as unsubscribed.
The following information is transferred from Raynet to Mailchimp:
- first name,
- last name,
- email1,
- Group names.
Sending a campaign
Only campaigns of the type regular will be available in Raynet. Automatic emails and plaintext campaigns will not be available. Find out how to create your first campaign in Mailchimp in this article.
Sending a campaign can take several minutes, so we recommend waiting at least 30 minutes and if a new mass email is not created in the CRM system, let our customer support know.
Campaign details (clicks, unsubscribe rate, etc.) can become available in the mass email detail in one to two days. If you need to work with this data immediately, you can find it in Mailchimp.
Deleting contacts from Mailchimp
If you delete contacts in Mailchimp, you will not be able to export them to this application again. The CRM system will not receive information from Mailchimp about the reason the contacts have been deleted. When you try to export again, a window will appear saying that the export has been completed, but the contacts will not be transferred to Mailchimp.
Tip: If you are not sure whether you want to permanently delete the marked contacts (e.g., you might want to use them again in the future), choose the Archive option instead. You won't see the marked contacts, but their campaign data will be kept in the history. This has the advantage that you can export these archived contacts from Raynet to Mailchimp again.
