If you have reached this article, you probably received an Invitation to sign a document via email. This means that one of your business partners, clients, or customers is sending you a document for electronic signature.
Important: Electronically signed documents have the same legal weight and binding nature as paper documents signed in the traditional way. The legal framework relating to electronic signature regulation is based on the European Parliament and Council Regulation No. 910/2014 on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the internal market and repealing Directive 1999/93/EC (“eIDAS”). This legal framework has been adapted in our Act No. 297/2016 Coll.
How to sign the document
Signing takes place via email. You received an email titled Invitation to sign a document » e-mail, open it.
In the incoming email, click the button Go to documents.
In the next step, we will first verify your identity. After clicking the Start the Authentication button, we will automatically send you an SMS with a PIN code. You will fill in the numeric code, which will verify your identity, and we will grant access to the document.
A window with documents for signing will then appear. Once you have reviewed the document and everything is in order, it's time to proceed to signing.
By clicking on the field with the signer's name, a new window for the actual signature will appear. You will only need a touchpad, mouse, or smartphone. You will complete the activity and send it to the system via the button Confirm signature (the system will ask you once again whether you really want to send it).
And it's done!
The other party will go through the same signing process. Once both parties have signed the document, a copy of the signed document will arrive in your email. It will be titled Document for download.
