Mass Lead import is useful if you need to get a large number of leads into Raynet. These could be, for example, leads from a trade fair or inquiries that need to be classified first. The Lead Import Template is used in these cases. The import can only be done by an Administrator.
The Import Template can be accessed by clicking on your name in the top right corner » Settings.
In the left menu, select XLSX Data Import » Lead Import.
Download the import template and fill it out according to the instructions inside the template.
Upload the filled-out template back to Raynet.
After uploading the filled-out template, the imported data is checked, and the number of errors is displayed. Click on the show list of errors button to see what the errors are and on which row they are located.
Correct the error, save the file, and re-upload it to Raynet. If there are no errors in the file, click Run Import.
If you do not correct the errors and still click the Run Import button, only the error-free data will be imported into Raynet
Each imported record is automatically assigned a tag with the import date and number. You can then filter or delete Leads according to this tag.
Important: You can upload up to 7,500 records to raynet at a time via the import template. The template is not an update template, i.e., you cannot update existing Leads with it. Leads are always imported as new Leads.
Deleting the import
If you have accidentally imported incorrect data, you can easily delete it. To delete the import, go to Settings » XLSX Data Import » Delete Import.
Select the record type (in this case, leads) and the tag of the specific import. Confirm by clicking the Delete button. This will delete all records that are not yet linked to any other records.
Import with custom fields
If you use custom fields for Leads, you can import data into these fields via the import template. Create the custom fields first in the Lead Settings and then download the import template. The columns with custom fields can be found at the end of the import template.
Import with required fields
If you use required fields for Leads, you will recognize them by the column name being in bold. If you upload a template to raynet, that does not have the required fields filled in, an error list will be generated.
