You can use the Mass Edit feature in all list views (Accounts, Contacts, Deals, etc.). With this Raynet feature, you can edit the Owner, Category, add or remove tags for multiple records at once, and much more.
You will find a checkbox at the beginning of each row of the list. You can select specific records or all records on the page. If you select at least one row, green buttons will appear above the list. One of them is the Edit button, which can be used to mass edit records.
After clicking on the Edit button, a dropdown will appear with the following options:
- Edit,
- Change owner,
- Add/remove tags,
- Edit security level,
- Lock records,
- Unlock records.
Selecting records and scrolling through the list
We will show you how to select data, for example, in the Contacts list view.
You can use checkboxes to select any rows in the list as well as the entire list. After checking the boxes, the total number of selected items will appear above the list. You can also use the arrows in the bottom bar to scroll through pages. This allows you to select, for example, 10 items from one page and 5 items from another page. When you have made your selection, click on the Edit button.
Important: You can mass edit a maximum of 200 items at a time. If you exceed the number of selected items, the system will notify you.

After selecting the rows, continue by clicking the green Edit button » Edit.
A mas edit box will appear on the right side of the screen. Mass edit is used for changing the content of fields, e.g., Category. If you want to make changes or add records to a Category, select from the available items (or create a new item) and save the change by clicking the Confirm button.
If, on the other hand, you want to remove the Category, select I want to clear the category field for selected records.
Mass ownership change
You can also change the owner of multiple selected records at once. In the Edit drop-down list, click on Change owner.
At the same time, you will be given the option to change the security level of the records being transferred according to the default settings of the new user or based on your own decision.
Adding or removing tags for multiple records at once
It is also possible to mass edit Tags. You can add or remove them for multiple records at once.
Just search in the Tags field for an existing one or create a new one.
If you want to remove a Tag, you need to select the Contacts that already have a Tag assigned, and you will see the option to remove it.
Mass edit of security level
An account administrator can mass edit the Security Levels of records without restriction. However, users with different roles may have insufficient permissions. In the Edit drop-down list, select Edit security level.
To change the security level, simply click on the desired level in the drop-down list and confirm the change.
If you are not an Account Administrator, you may not be able to edit the level of the selected records. You will see an exclamation mark icon next to these records, indicating that you do not have permission to perform this action.
Locking multiple records at once
The Lock Records feature is useful when you know your records are final, and you will not need to edit them further, and you also don't want any other user to be allowed to edit your data. First, you again select the rows you want to edit, then click on Lock records in the drop-down list.
A dialog box will pop up asking you to confirm the action.
Unlocking multiple records at once
Unlocking records is similar. Click on Unlock Records in the drop-down list.
