The user role determines what permissions individual users of a Raynet account have, what they can access, and what records they can create or modify. There are four types of roles in Raynet.
1. Administrator
- Has access to Settings
- Has the right to restrict the permissions of other users
- Has full access to all modules and functions
- No restrictions on data access apply to administrators
- Put simply, an administrator can see and do absolutely everything
2. Full throttle
- Doesn't have access to Settings
- Has full access to all modules and functions
- Doesn't have permission to create custom fields
- Is subject to security settings (e.g., enabling or disabling exports, deleting or modifying records, security level settings, etc.)
3. Certain restrictions
- Doesn't have access to Settings
- Has full access to all modules and functions
- Doesn't have permission to create custom fields
- Is subject to security settings (e.g., enabling or disabling exports, deleting or modifying records, security level settings, etc.)
- Doesn't have permission to create new Products and to edit the standard price of the Product (the user can only add Products to Price Lists and Deals, where he can edit their list and sales prices)
- Doesn't have permission to see any information about costs and profits
4. Readonly
- The main difference from all previous roles is that the user doesn't have permission to create any records or modify records
- Doesn't have access to Settings
- Doesn't have permission to send emails to Raynet via e-mail assistant
- Is subject to security settings (visibility settings and security levels)
- Doesn't have permission to see any information about costs and profits
Setting the user role
Only an Administrator can assign a specific role to the user. When adding a new user, you will be able to assign their user role right away.
If you want to change the role of an existing user, you need to go to Settings.
In the User Administration section, select the user whose role you want to change and click their profile.
Then, in the User Authorization section, you can change the user's role. Save everything.
Viewing all users and their permissions
You can also see an overview of all users and their set permissions from the user account list view. Just add Permissions to visible columns.
You can also filter the list of users. This allows you to view only the users you are interested in at the moment, e.g., with a full throttle user role and an accountant position. The saved filters can be shared with other administrators.
You can easily export the user list view. Just click on the three dots » Export. You can choose between exporting all columns or only the visible columns.
