The Documents section is used for storing files. You can sort files into folders within documents. In this article, we will show how to work with a file.
To add a file to Documents, click the green plus button and select one of the options:
- Upload file
- Add link (www)
- New folder
- Get files from Google Drive
- Get files from Dropbox
Clicking on the File will display a preview of it, and if a link was used, the website will open.
On the right side of each row is a button with three dots with the following actions available:
- Details
- Move to
- Download
- Security
- Invalidate
- Delete
Details
Click on Details to display a dialog box on the right with information about the selected file. This window is also displayed when you click on the file row itself.
Here you can edit the Name, Security Level, download the file, upload a new version or view older versions of the file, add the file to bookmarks. Click the three dots to select one of the other options:
- Security
- Refresh
- Invalidate
- Delete
On the File information tab, edit the Owner, Status, Category, Validity, Description, and Tags.

Move to
Select Move to and move the file to any folder. Click Select and Close after you are done moving the file.
Download
To download the file to your computer, click the Download button.
Security
Security shows system information about the file. It tells you who created or modified it. Only authorized users can see the files. You can also lock each file you have access to, preventing other users from editing it. It can be unlocked by either you or an Administrator. Set the Security Level in this window as well.
Invalidate
By selecting the Invalidate option, the file will no longer be visible in the list view. However, it will still be saved in Raynet and you can recover it at any time.
Delete
Deleting a file will completely and permanently erase it from Raynet.
