The Documents section of the mobile app is used for uploading and keeping track of files and folders in Raynet. If you need to quickly view or upload a document while away from the office, you will definitely find this mobile app feature useful. In this article, we will explain how to work in the app:
Document list view
The Document list view can be accessed from anywhere in the mobile app by tapping the menu (the three lines icon in the top left corner) » Documents.
The Document list view will open and will be sorted alphabetically. To search up a specific Document, use the full-text search or tap the My records button to view only those Documents in which you are listed as the Owner. You can find the Filter in the top right corner (three lines/funnel icon). Use the filter to view only those Documents that meet the criteria you set.
On the bottom right, you will find a blue plus button which lets you:
- Select from gallery
- Select file
- Record audio
- Take photo
- Add Link
- Add Folder
Also located at the bottom are icons that let you easily move on to the Dashboard, Calendar, Full-text Search, or Notifications.
Tapping a Folder will open it and let you see all the Files that are inside. Tap the file name to get to the file detail. Use the blue arrow icon to download the file. If it is a link, you will be redirected to it. On the right side of each file or folder, you will find a three dots button. Tap it to see the Delete option.
Document detailed card
The File detailed card can be accessed by tapping the File name, either directly from Documents or from the selected Folder. Here you can move between tabs just like you are used to from the desktop version. The File header shows the File name and format, the code, and the date it was added.
Tapping the three dots icon in the top right corner will take you to a menu where you can:
- Upload a new version
- Set up Security
- Delete the File
Also located at the bottom are icons that let you easily move on to the Dashboard, Calendar, Full-text Search, or Notifications.
If you use Security Levels and have them set for the File, you will see the name of the security level next to the three dots button.
On the Basic Information tab, you can use the pencil icon to edit the data in the panel of the same name. This panel contains information about the specific File. Tapping the green button with the file name on it will start downloading the file to your device and a preview will open. If the file is an Audio recording, tapping this button will start playing it. If the file is a Link, tapping the button will redirect you to the website. You can edit Tags at the bottom of the tab.
On the Description tab, you will find a text field where you can add a note to the File. Edit the field by tapping the pencil. The Discussion tab works just like the tab in the desktop version of Raynet.
