Events are useful for recording any activities that are not necessarily meetings but still have participants. For example, company gatherings, workshops, training sessions, etc.
In this article you will find out:
- how to create an event,
- how to send an event invitation via email,
- how to set a reminder,
- how to set up recurrence.
Creating an event
1. An Event can easily be created directly from the Calendar. Click anywhere in the Calendar » select Event.
The advantage of this is that you can schedule a follow-up for the created Event right away, e.g., a Task. Right-click the Event and select Create Follow-up Activity.
2. If the Event relates to a specific Account, we recommend creating the event directly from the Account detailed card. Click the green plus » Event.
You only need to fill in the event Name in the dialog box, everything else can be added after saving, on the detailed Event card.
3. It is possible to create an Event from the Main Menu » Activities » Events » green plus.
4. You can also create Events in bulk from the Account or Contact list view. Just select the Accounts or Contacts you want to create the Event for. A green + Create button will appear. Clicking this button will open a drop-down box where you need to select the Schedule Activity option. For more information on mass Activity creation, see this article.
Sending an event invitation via email
You can send an Event invitation to participants by email, just like you can for Meetings. On the Event detailed card, click the three dots » Send event invitation via email.
The email that the participants will receive will look something like this:
Event reminder
If you don't want to miss an Event, be sure to use the Reminder feature. You can set this up in the Event detail, via the three dots » Set Reminder.
You can set the default reminder for all activities in Calendar Settings.
Select which activities you want to set Reminders for and how long before the start.
Event recurrence
If you have a recurring Event, you can set up a recurrence in Raynet. Via the three dots » Create Recurrence.
Then just set the interval and other specifications.
